Patient update

Athos' brother called a few minutes ago to let us know their mom was out of surgery.  The surgeon removed the length of bowel containing the blockage, along with the scar tissue that caused it, and did an anastomosis, so a colostomy was unnecessary.  She should be fine after she heals.

The best news?  NO TUMORS!  I've been hesitant to use the "C" word, but we've been worried for a long time that it might be developing, given her history and the physical/health changes we've noticed in her....
