*Blog more. Hasn't happened much lately, because of Squidboy's graduation, leave and illness. Now he's off to submarine school, so maybe things won't be quite so crazy around here.
*Learn enough code to tweak the blog's HTML. Or maybe just get Oldest Son or another technogeek friend to do it.
*Finally lose that last 20 pounds. (Maybe I should shoot for Christmas 2010?)
*Organize my recipe files, along with all the tax-related stuff and receipts/warranty info/operating manuals for our appliances/electronics/"grown-up toys". (No, not that kind; I mean Athos' shop equipment, misc. firearms, etc.)
*Clean the accumulated duplicate files and general crap off of my hard drives.
*Bake more bread. Honestly, with a bread machine, how hard is it to produce a fresh loaf occasionally? And yet we're eating store-bought (but *good* store-bought!) more often than not.
*Use more than just a select few of the cookbooks I've collected over the past mumble mumble years. Seriously. Several hundred of them, and I usually can't seem to find anything that sounds good for dinner. Or worse, I find a good recipe, go to use it again ... and then can't remember where I found it. (Note to self: Start writing down recipe sources, ya bloomin' idjit!)
Well, that should kill most of the year. Aw, hell, let's be honest: most of the coming decade is more like it. If I ever got (a) organized; (b) all of the laundry done; (c) my house completely clean; (d) skinny again; and (e) rid all of the unneeded stuff I have stored in the basement and stashed in various closets ... I'm firmly convinced that the universe would come to a screeching halt in shock. Oh, I've met one or two of those conditions on occasion, but we'll probably see Space Aliens formally welcomed at the White House before I ever accomplish all five goals at once....

Been neglecting some of my links lately & realized this was one of them, I apologize! Just wanted to congratulate you and squidboy on Boot Camp graduation - it's been 20 years ago next month, and I can still clearly remember the sense of pride at my own. Great job on your part with raising the young man, and on him for stepping into something larger than himself to serve others.
Thanks, Sean, I appreciate it. We're very proud of him. He's wanted to enlist ever since he was little. Both of his grandfathers were in Service (one Air Force, one Army-Korean War), and I think all four of his great-grandfathers served, too. (WWI and WWII on my side of the family, both Army; not sure which Services/wars on hubby's side.) And we know for sure he has at least one ancestor who fought in the Civil War, because we have in our possession the document releasing him from a Union prison. (The original, not a copy.)
BTW, thank you for your service to our country, as well!
