Day 1
Well, I did just under 3.5 miles in 90 minutes. Not too bad for someone who hasn't been walking all that much lately. Good news is, I didn't drop dead, and barely broke a sweat - which tells me I need to increase both speed and incline on the treadmill the next time. LOL The bad news is, this has made me realize that I need new walking shoes. If I remember correctly, these are the ones that got saturated with swamp mud while helping a neighbor fight a fire awhile back, and I ran them through the washer so they'd be wearable again. Somehow I don't think that did anything good for their cushioning ability. My feet hurt....

I'm impressed. seriously.
I, myself, have porked up since the job loss in '08. Poor finances, cheap food and depression did me in.
Plus, I've always been too sedentary.
New job is all sitting, all the time.
I need to make myself healthier.
You just might contribute to inspiring me.
Thanks, hon! It's tough keeping the weight off as we get (dare I say it?) older. I used to work jobs that kept me on my feet and moving all the time, as well as carrying loads. Since I've been home I've spent far too much time on my butt, and up and down the stairs 4 or 5 times a day just doesn't do it.
"You just might contribute to inspiring me."
And that might just keep me going, instead of giving up when I get frustrated! ;)
