Update
I'm sorry I havent posted in quite awhile, but I've been . . . busy. We lost my mother two years ago to lung cancer, and now my father's dying of lymphoma. With Mom, we had three months' 'warning'. With Dad, it's only been a couple of weeks since diagnosis. We don't expect him to last much longer, maybe not even through the night. At least now we know what's been wrong...

Thank you, Captain. It's over, except for all the paperwork headaches (bank accounts, insurance policies, SocSec, retirement accounts, address changes, credit card cancellations, etc). He passed away yesterday morning at 3am. On our oldest son's birthday, unhappily enough.

Thank you, Jean. Dad passed away Tues. the 11th, and we buried him this past Tuesday. (Had to get Squidboy home from the Navy and make arrangements for burial 900 miles away.) He's wanted to go be with Mom ever since we lost her . . . and the bittersweet thing is, we buried him next to her just in time for their 59th anniversary....
